What are the firewall settings supposed to be for Windows 7 firewall to allow multiplicty to connect?
Multiplicity works fine when the firewall is turned off but absolutely will not connect if it's turned on.
There is one version of the installer that will install the appropriate files for your system. Same goes with Impulse installing Multiplicity.
I would say given the number of issues that a clean install may be the way to go.
Well I tried a clean install about 4 times now. On the secondary machine. And now it seems that my connection is getting disconnected like every 30 secs.
I also like one of the previous posters tried the reset batch filte for vista and now I am seeing an Mp~Vista32.exe and inaddition to a very new 64bit process. But now the win.dll missing has appeared.
I will uninstall again and try the clean registry patch. <fingers crossed>
Well just tried. And despite running the .registry script provided to "clear the settings" the winlogon.dll "is not running"
I'm stumped!! And frustrated.
Additionally you recommend an re-install. I failed to disclose --> I have only been re-installing the secondary machine. Should the primary be reinstalled as well?
This will always report this way on 64 bit systems.
So Shirley,
How do I get past this inpass? 2 machines same problem(make that 4 machines now!). At this point i'm considering purchasing a java app that copys my clipboard between computers(slow but it gets the job down). Trying to figure out if the professional version was worth it ... Dropbox has been getting me by but find this very frustrating as the Clipboard copy function doesn't even work! Synergy seems a far more cost savy solution since none of the extras seem to function on win7 (possibly all) native x64 os.
@!#$.
Please advise.
This is UNsatisfactory!!
